I am originally from Brazil. After moving to the UK, I worked for many years in the corporate environment. Subsequent to experiencing the profound benefits of acupuncture, I was drawn to studying this ancient system of medicine.

I gained a BSc (Hons) and a license to practice Acupuncture (LicAc) from the renowned College of Integrated Chinese Medicine, Reading, England. The college integrates Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Traditional Acupuncture. Furthermore, I have a Diploma in Tuina (Dip Tn) and Paediatrics Acupuncture (Dip Paed).

I am also a member of the British Acupuncture Council.

Chinese Medicine is an energetic medicine, and among other things, we always look for the underlying cause of a patient’s problem. My practice has been mainly concentrated on the treatment of the root cause of an illness, not only the symptoms and I believe that one of the strengths of acupuncture consists in its ability to help the body to reconcile the imbalances that the world and our lifestyle create.

I will continue to deepen my knowledge in the subject of Chinese Medicine through further continuing professional development and in key areas of interest and personal growth, such as meditation and qigong.
